Part of most weddings is the selection of the gifts for those attending your wedding party. The attendant gifts can be a pleasure to pick as they are a gesture of thanks and can also be a memento of shared times together and of the wedding day.

Engraved items are always popular with brides and grooms because they make wonderful keepsakes.

Popular items to be engraved are: mugs, card holders, date books, key chains, pens, CD cases, letter openers, desk clocks, calculators, and jewelry.

Attendants gifts can be themed such as sports, food, or sex gifts such as for males: money clip, cuff links, shaving kit, pocket watch, leather wallet, etc., and for the female attendants: make up, jewelry, purses, lace hankies, personalized stationery, or note cards that are personalized.

Other themed attendants gifts ideas are: the home and garden theme where you purchase gardening tools, barbecuing tools, picnic baskets, or kitchen gadgets.

Have a “Crafty” theme and buy soaps, bath salts, fruit jam, scrapbook supplies, or other craft items.

You can also make the gifts personal and not themed at all. Buy each attendant something that would have special meaning to him or her.

Attendant gifts can be presented at the rehearsal dinner, at the reception, or at another bridal event like the shower or bachelor party.

Most couples spend on average around $38.00 per attendant, if you are limited on your budget, perhaps just the maid of honor and best man receiving gifts of that price and everyone else in the party gifts of lesser value but still of sentimental value.

There are many individuals that you may want to include in with your gift giving needs such as wedding bridesmaids, groomsmen, best man, maid of honor, ring bearer, flower girl, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, and grandparents.

Some examples of gifts:

Bridesmaids appreciate totes or cosmetic bags, jewelry or jewelry boxes, compacts that are engraved, clothing with the bride’s name, photo gifts, frames and albums and cute gifts like the “bridesmaid’s survival kit”.

Groomsmen appreciate gifts such as barware, cufflinks, watches, photo gifts, business items, pens, mugs, and perhaps a CD holder.

Thoughtful gifts for parents of the bride and groom are embroidered handkerchief, “father of the bride t-shirt”, jewelry box, heart locket with photo, personalized photo keepsake box, embroidered money clip, personalized leather money clip, personalized jewelry, and personalized apparel.

Flower girls love flower girl memory books, flower girl t-shirts, jewelry sets, mini bride and groom bears, and flower girl camera.

Ring bearers like personalized t-shirts, football shaped money banks, and personalized camera.

Photo gifts can be for any attendant and can be of any type such as photo puzzles, photo clipboard, photo mousepad, photo coasters, photo keychain, photo mug, photo tote even a photo apron or jewelry box.
